Asian Wedding, behind the scenes…

It felt really special to capture the morning preparations for this Walima in the south of Britain at the Surrey National Golf Club. I aim to be as invisible as possible, this enables me to capture moments that happens naturally. This was the third wedding I was photographing for the same family, so it was nice to catch up with all the familiar faces. I documented the morning preparation in black and white and then changed to colour for the formal portraits to capture the vibrant colours in the beautiful saris.

Wedding in Portugal, after the midnight hour

The Portuguese knows how to party, at 2.am I captured the best men having a break from the dance floor. The groom had been a friend of mine since we studied photography together, when he planned to got married in Sintra he asked me to be his photographer. I covered the day from the early morning with the bride and her family, the church, group photos and the party. The guests all looked liked supermodels, beautiful people inside out. I loved every moment ….

Thanks Rowan and Sibila for choosing me to capture your day x

A beautiful Mendhi celebration….

I love Indian weddings. Here capturing a magical Mendhi ceremony that is celebrated before the wedding day. The bride and her female friends and family enjoy a day filled with laughter, dancing, food and traditional games, as well as showing of their mehndi. Documentary photography, capturing moments, creating memories ….
